What is mobislyder?
mobislyder is the world's first portable camera slider designed
from the ground up specifically for a broad range of small
video-enabled devices. Stylish and compact, mobislyder adds
controlled flowing movements to your production, letting you create
a variety of shots in an effortless and elegantly simple way.
So how did mobislyder come about?
In March 2008 Alastair Brown, a keen videographer himself,
developed the first ever Glidetrack camera slider. It opened up a
whole variety of new shots to his video shoots and really gave his
productions an edge. He shared the idea with the camera community
online and was amazed at how popular the idea was.
With the impressive feedback online, Alastair started to develop
and build the product and soon Glidetrack was a must have piece of
kit for all videographers across the world.
In late 2010 Alastair decided it was time to bring one of his
ideas off the back burner and develop a device specifically for the
emerging mobile and small devices capable of shooting Full HD
video. Millions of people are now using their hand-held video
devices to film anything - from family holidays to major news
events across the world. These videos while instant were
often let down by shakes and wobbles.
It was time to bring a lightweight multi-device compatible mobile
camera slider to support the mobile video revolution. This device
would introduce controlled cinematic moves and for the first time
give mobile video a high production value. Alastair and his team
set about developing and building the world's first mobile slider
and are now allowing high quality video to be captured and shared
